Darkness

Darkness fills the room like a thick black smoke.
The weight of shadows growing,
Filling my lungs and pulling me down.
Beneath the weight of all that I cary, I fold and crumble against the cold glass wall.
The closest soul, a figure shimmers beyond the glass.
My hand reaches out for warmth, but knows only the cold, unwavering, solid mass that is the wall.
My eyes behold the soul before filling with the shadows that drown the room.
Beneath their weight, I lay in darkness.
